Dr. Alana Franklin is a primary care physician with over 15 years of clinical experience. Dual board-certified in Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine, Dr. Franklin is known for building meaningful, long-term relationships with multi-generational families and delivering compassionate and personalized care.

Dr. Franklin earned her medical degree from SUNY Stony Brook and completed her residency at the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to joining PersonalMDs, she spent more than 12 years at Wellesley Family Care Associates, a Mass General Brigham affiliate practice. She also served as an Instructor of Medicine at Tufts Medical School, reflecting her commitment to evidence-based care and medical education.

Her clinical interests center on improving health and wellness outcomes with a strong focus on cancer risk reduction and the use of lifestyle interventions to prevent metabolic disease and extend patients’ “health span.” She has a special interest in Women’s Health and is a Certified Menopause Practitioner through the Menopause Society.

Often described by her patients as the “quarterback” of their care team, Dr. Franklin is skilled at coordinating with specialists to ensure individualized, comprehensive treatment plans.

Dr. Franklin lives in Chestnut Hill with her husband, Adam, and their four children: Jake, Liv, Gemma, and Alexandra.
